Configuration
Application
Mobile Device: Basic phones supporting only SMS.
Method of Access: SMS.
Requirement: Using a SMS to/from Email service provider
Each subscriber receives an account on the service provider SMS servers, where they configure their MCS mailbox as a POP account. Receiving - The SMS server pops mail from the MCS server periodically and pushes a summary of the email as an SMS to the mobile device. Filters may be defined to push only selected messages. Alternatively you can configure MCS to forward a copy of selected messages to an email id on the SMS server corresponding to your subscription account. This is pushed as an SMS to the mobile device. Sending a formatted sms to the SMS control center, will convert and send that as an email to the recipients.
Useful for the field force to receive alerts about specific communication, while on the move. This could be used to aid time sensitive decision making. Sending small alerts also becomes possible quite easily.
