Which mailbox access protocols (IMAP4 or POP3) can be used in Connect XF?

Connect XF supports standard message access protocols like IMAP4, POP3 & HTTP in our messaging solution, for giving access to emails through both web client (browser) and offline email clients like Outlook, Outlook Express etc. The secure proptocols IMAPS, POPS and HTTPS are also supported.

Is Connect XF MAPI compliant?

MAPI protocol is used by desktop email clients (Outlook, Outlook Express) from Microsoft to connect to MS Exchange server. Connect Xf does not support the MAPI protocol. It supports the standard protocols POP, IMAP and SMTP which can be used to connect from all desktop clients such as Thunderbird, Eudora, Outlook etc.

In Connect XF can we control disk usage for mailboxes?

Yes. In Connect XF you can define maximum quota on the HDD to be allowed for each user. Automatic quota alerts can be configured and a 'quota policy' be specified to define the system behaviour on quota overflow.

Can I host email addresses like amol@mithi.com and amol@mailjol.com on the same server as different users?

Yes you can. Connect XF can be configured to host multiple mailing domains on the same server.

Can you use desktop email clients like Outlook/Outlook Express to access mails from the server?

Yes, you can use any standards compliant SMTP/POP/IMAP email clients like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora etc.

Does Connect XF work with thin clients?

Connect XF will work on thin clients running compatible browsers (like IE, Firefox, Mozilla etc) and supporting the TCP/IP protocol.

Are features like Disclaimers and Vacation Messages available in Connect XF?

Yes, features like Disclaimers and Vacation Messages/Out of office replies are available.

Does Connect XF offer a feature for archiving of mails?

Connect XF allows you to archive all the incoming and outgoing mails for all/some the users in a separate archive account. Specific mails can be searched from this account by applying the necessary filters.
