| IMAP Access |
- IMAP is an alternate way to access mailboxes on the server. When desktop clients are configured with the IMAP protocol, the mails remain on the server and can be accessed from desktop or browser based email clients.
- IMAP protocol can be used to access Mail from several different folders on the server.
- Most of the clients support caching allowing offline access of the email messages
- Connect Server can also be configured for secure IMAP access.

- Web access can help you get down the license and management costs, as the license for the desktop clients and the costs of configuring and maintaining the same on every user’s desktops are eliminated.

Anti spam support
|
- Mithi Connect Server incorporates reputation and content based technologies to control spam on incoming channels, giving more than 99% spam detection accuracy.
- Reputation based technologies used are greylist, RBL, blacklists & white lists
- The content based technologies are implemented using Spam Assassin, which scans the contents of the mail for objectionable words etc and filters the mail to a spam folder.
- The spam management features based on the spam reports help users manage their blacklists, white list and also minimize the problems related to false positives (mail wrongly marked as spam)

| Mail policy |
- Mail policies are used to control mail flow to and from the users / groups and domains. These make the system more secure as they guard against misuse of the system
For example, one policy could be to disallow outgoing mail to gmail or disallow outgoing mail which have attachment.
